A Look Back: No Surprise But A Good Reminder – Critical Feedback Generally Only Works If People Feel They Are Valued

I think most of us know what this new study found about negative feedback, but it’s a good reminder, anyway:

The study’s author goes on to say:

I’m not saying they won’t want to improve if they find out they’re weak in something. But they also need to know that they’re valued and that their contributions are generally positive.
