Nanoparticles hold answer to diabetes issue, finds Indian study

Indian researchers discovered that zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZON) can improve kidney function in diabetic nephropathy cases. This study, conducted at Pune’s Agharkar Research Institute, revealed ZON’s glucose-lowering and insulin-mimetic effects, making it a potential treatment for diabetes-related kidney complications by preserving essential proteins and reducing urine output which is known as polyuria. Indian researchers discovered that zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZON) can improve kidney function in diabetic nephropathy cases.
