    In new research, scientists studied the vocal behavior of wild bonobos (Pan paniscus) — our closest living relatives — in the Kokolopori Community Reserve in the Democratic Republic of Congo and discovered robust empirical evidence for the presence of nontrivial compositionality in these primates.
