I just highlighted a student in class who respectfully told me, ‘ You are not explaining it in a way I can understand.” That’s much more helpful feedback than , “You’re doing too much”

I that teaching content is the easy part. The most challenging aspect of teaching – for me, at least- is helping students learn how to navigate conflict and stress, what taking responsibility looks like, etc.
