I’ve previously shared several examples of “improvement rubrics” – rubrics that emphasize asset, instead of deficit, language (you can see them at The Best Rubric Sites (And A Beginning Discussion About Their Use)).

Here’s another one you can download.

It was created by two of my talented colleagues, Lara Hoekstra and Nicole Scrivner.

It’s a CER-OR rubric, which stands for:

Claim
Evidence
Reasoning
Opposing Viewpoint
Rebuttal
