I’m not going to even pretend I understand most of what Open Scholar says about itself in its “About” section.
I understand it’s a project of the University of Washington, and if you type a query about research on a topic (for example, I asked about “student motivation”), its AI chatbot will deliver you an impressive synopsis of the research on that topic (see what it said about student motivation here) with tons of footnotes and, supposedly, no hallucinations.

It seems like it could be very helpful to all of us.
