Studies Find That Handwriting Beats Typing – Again

 

Why writing by hand beats typing for thinking and learning is a new NPR report summarizing recent research on the advantages writing by hand has over typing – for learning, at least.

It’s certainly something I reinforce in my ELL Newcomers class – the only times we use laptops are for online games, independent practice, and once-a-week slideshow presentations.
