Wick Editor “is a free, open-source tool for creating games, animations, and everything in-between!” I’m adding it to The Best Ways For Students To Create Online Animations.
Interactive Video Tools: A Comparison is from FLT Magazine.
Screens Are Everywhere in Schools. Do They Actually Help Kids Learn? is from The NY Times. I’m adding it to The Best Research Available On The Use Of Technology In Schools.
EdCite is free, and has lots of different types of assessments and assignments for most subject areas. I even found a decent practice collection for the ELPAC, California’s English language assessment. It seems to let you create multimedia assignments, but I don’t know how easy it is to create them. I’m adding it to The Best Sites Where Students Can Work Independently & Let Teachers Check On Progress.
Karate Math Dojo is a free adventure game for learning…math.
MapStory lets you…use maps to tell stories. I’m adding it to The Best Map-Making Sites On The Web.
WeTransfer, which is on THE BEST TOOLS FOR SENDING LARGE FILES list, has created a Padlet-type feature. I’m adding it to The Best Online Virtual “Corkboards” (or “Bulletin Boards”).
You can create a puppet show with your hands, and record it, at Puppet Playhouse.
Tech & Business Fantasies of Education is from Dan Meyer. I’m adding it to The Best Posts & Articles Highlighting Why We Need To Be Very Careful Around Ed Tech.
Transition from Google Jamboard to FigJam: A Comparison of Collaborative Boards is from FLT Magazine, and is the best overview of the situation that I’ve seen. I’m adding it to THE BEST ALTERNATIVES TO THE SOON-TO-BE-DECEASED GOOGLE JAMBOARD.
Tech in the Classroom from The NY Times Learning Network has a number of interesting comments from students.
