I know very little about these international tests. However, given that it’s an uphill battle to get students to care about taking state tests, I have to wonder how seriously many US students are invested in doing their best on these.

These are all great ideas. However, if they are going to happen, then districts and schools we’d to free up time for teachers and not expect us to do it on top of everything we’re doing now. And that is going to cost money for subs
