Unapologetically obsessed with this today, but what happened when TANF was block-granted is a cautionary tale for K12. Per CBPP, 14 states now spend less than 10% of their TANF funds on basic cash assistance for families. Imagine what they’ll do with block-granted education funds.

Who loses if the Trump admin eliminates federal K-12 funding?

This would be a massive self-inflicted wound to all kids, but it would hit red states especially hard.

(Even if the $ still on the books, if Ed isn’t staffed to administer them, that will hurt kids all the same.)

It would be nice if school districts provided actually useful professional development to teachers about how best to respond to AI but ours is responding similar to most – nothing
