Fred Ross, Sr. was a legendary organizer with the Industrial Areas Foundation and the United Farmworkers Union, and Cesar Chavez’s mentor. Every year for the past eleven years I “give” a book he wrote to readers of this blog as a holiday gift.
His late son, Fred Ross, Jr., was also an extraordinary organizer who I had the privilege of working with for several years when we both worked for the Industrial Areas Foundation.
